Triathlon, Running, Cycling, Other AI level: Static plan Static plan AI only USD 19.99/mo · USD 179.99/yr pushes workouts to 3 devices
MOTTIV builds a training plan from a questionnaire about weekly schedule, goals and fitness level and rebuilds it around the races on the calendar; it also includes strength, yoga and nutrition content and a community feed. It reads completed activities from Garmin, Strava and Wahoo and sends planned workouts to Garmin Connect and TrainingPeaks (and via TrainingPeaks to Zwift and Wahoo). A free plan includes the personalised plan for one race at a time; Premium (USD 19.99/month or 179.99/year, 14-day trial) adds unlimited races and device connections. An independent reviewer testing a pre-release 2026 version reported that the plan did not adjust itself after missed workouts, illness or injury.
Static plan. A plan generated once from a template or questionnaire; it does not change from what the athlete does. source

Scores
1–5 per dimension by the published rubric. Each score links to its evidence. Blank means no public evidence yet.
| Dimension | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Plan quality | 2 | Individual HR and pace zones are derived from a recent race time; no periodization model or intensity distribution is stated on vendor pages. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
| Adaptation | 2 | Hands-on review (Sep 2026): plan did not adjust itself after missed workouts, injury or illness; the athlete must move sessions or pick easier options. App Store reviewers note adding a race rewrites the whole plan. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
| Workout feedback | 2 | Reviewer confirms individual HR and pace targets per session and Garmin-executable workouts, but describes only in-workout voice cues afterwards; the help centre shows completion is a manual label (done / adjusted / not done) with no per-session analysis. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
| Coaching relationship | 1 | Reviewer describes one-way voice cues during workouts and no way to get plan adjustments from a coach; vendor pages list no chat coach. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
| Transparency | 2 | Reviewers say each workout comes with an explanation and video demo, but the vendor publishes no description of how plans are built or changed. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
| Value for money | 4 | Free tier includes the personalised plan (one race, no device sync); Premium is USD 19.99/month. Play and App Store reviewers call the free tier sufficient and the paid tier worth it; Active.com calls it competitively priced. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
| Athlete sentiment | 4 | App Store 4.8/5 (71 ratings) and Google Play (~50 reviews) are mostly positive with race finishes attributed to the plans; recurring complaints are crashes/slow loading and race-triggered plan rewrites. Small samples; no reddit threads found. evidence checked 2026-10-13 |
